What is Yoga?
Yoga has been practiced for thousands of years and have been regarded as one of the most affective wellbeing and lifestyle practices. Yoga means to ‘Unite’ to bring balance to the mind, body and soul. Yoga aims for us to live more harmoniously not just with the world around us but with ourselves to starting with the physical body.
What are the benefits of Yoga?
Calm the mind, improve flexibility and circulation, keep healthy, have time to yourself, improve awareness, reduce stress, meet new people, learn something new and positive.
What would I need to bring with me to the yoga class?
Bring a yoga mat with you so this becomes your personal space where you build up the yoga energy. Wai has some spare mats if you need to borrow one to start with, please let Wai know a day before class. Other items: Fleece blanket or a throw to keep you warm in the relaxing practice. Bottle of drinking water. Change of clothing, Wear comfortable exercise clothing for easy movements. Note book (Optional Yoga Journal for practice reflection)
Can I eat before a yoga class?
It is best to allow 2 hours before space before a yoga class, however if modern lifestyle do not allow this and some people need to come straight from work. A banana or something like is fine. This is for your own comfort and ease in practice.
Are there any conditions that cannot practice yoga?
Choosing the yoga class that you are comfortable with personally would enable you to enjoy the class more. Anyone can practice yoga and most conditions are okay. If you have any specific questions or concerns you are always welcome to speak with the tutor or establishment and consult your GP beforehand.
Is yoga a religion?

Each individual is warmly welcomed to practice yoga with Wai. You are all equal in her eyes and the practice is your own personal journey where Wai will be the guide and assist your practice.
